FTL Finance is a division of FTL Capital Partners, LLC, a merchant banking operation that invests capital and uses its expertise to help businesses grow profitably over the long term. Owned by Thomas J. Hillman & Paul D. Melnuk, it has extensive operating experience in a variety of businesses, large and small. FTL Finance was formed by acquiring Thomas Leasing, a company providing HVAC financing since 1995, in February 2002. This acquisition was the first initial step toward building a national specialty finance business. Intending to grow organically and through acquisition, FTL Finance focuses on high quality customer service, efficient processes, and the development of long term relationships. ABOUT OUR OWNERS Paul Melnuk is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thermadyne Holdings Corporation (industrial products) and Managing Partner of FTL Capital Partners LLC (merchant banking). He is past President and Chief Executive Officer of Bracknell Corporation and Barrick Gold Corporation. Mr. Melnuk holds a Bachelor of Commerce. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and of the World Presidents' Organization, St. Louis chapter. Thomas J. Hillman is currently a founder and Managing Partner of FTL Capital Partners LLC a merchant banking company and strategic management-consulting firm. Tom currently serves as Chairman of FindStuff.com, LLC , A Comparison Shopping Internet Company. He served until July 2007as Co-President Of America Water Heater Rentals, LLC, which recently sold to Mcquarie Bank Ltd. Previously he was CEO of the Fresh Fish Co, Inc which was sold to Global Seafood's LLC. During this time Mr. Hillman was also director and founder of Rain Forest Aquaculture Products, Inc, a Tilapia fish producer, which was sold to Commonwealth Development Corporation of the UK. Mr. Hillman served on the Board of directors of Hoover's Inc. and was Chairman of the Nominating Committee and a member of the audit Committee "HOOV" is a public, business content company, which distributes over the Internet and sold to Dun and Bradstreet in 2003. Mr. Hillman serves on the Board of Advisors of HealthPoint Capital LP, A New York based private equity firm that specializes within the Orthopedics business.
